Men's Breakfast - February 8th

full-english-breakfast

Twice yearly, Linton Free Church holds a men's breakfast event which local Christian men are encouraged to attend and invite friends along to. We enjoy a cooked breakfast together at a local pub and listen to a guest speaker share about their life and faith.

Our next breakfast takes place on the 8th of February
This will take place at The Old Red Lion Pub on Saturday 8 February, 8.45 a.m. for 9.00. We should be finished by 10.00. We start with breakfast (Full English) and then listen to a talk with an opportunity for a few questions.

Our speaker this time is Chris Rose, founder of the Street Kids World Cup. He will talk about this using the title 'I am Somebody'. Chris Rose says:

"I am the director of Amos Trust and Founder of the Street Child World Cup.

Amos Trust is a small creative Christian human rights organisation which has three areas of work - with Peacemakers in Israel and Palestine, with Street children and with those committed to building sustainable human rights in rural communities in Nicaragua and India.

We  set up the Street Child World Cup in Durban South Africa in 2010 in response to our local partner project's long running campaign to end the round up on street children.  Following its success we were asked to take it to Brazil and from March 27th street children from 19 countries will be taking part in the 2014 Rio Street Child World Cup.

I will speak about this and our central campaign message - 'I am somebody' .

Prior to joining Amos I  was CEO  of Romsey Mill youth project in Cambridge."
